Each Warshmallows has its statistics depending on its class:

Stars:

Once the last level is reached, the Warshmallows will begin an ascent to the stars, in fact depending on the number of victories in a row and the performance, it earns stars ranging from 1 to 5 stars which represent a rank up.

Important: The stats represent the Warshmallows capacities and can be a factor to win matches. But to win tournaments those need to be mixed to the player strategy and choices.
